Abstract
This is the eighth interview in a series of 37 interviews with General John W. Vessey. In this interview, Gen. John Vessey continues to discuss his World War II service in the 34th Division Artillery and the Italian Campaign; specifically, his duty has artillery forward observer and air observer. He discusses the end of WWII and his return stateside in May 1945. He also discusses his marriage in July 1945 and postwar plans.
