Abstract
Based on research this capstone describes the importance of the development of Emotional Intelligence in preschool children, ages three to five years old and the impact that emotional intelligence could have on children's future life success. The capstone makes a call to early childhood practitioners of the importance of their participation in the development of emotional intelligence in children. The capstone urges teachers to get involved in the process of the development of emotional intelligence while implementing the activities and ideas suggested in a manual that helps them to create the foundation of emotional intelligence in preschool children while interacting with them in the classroom
