Abstract
Child abuse and trauma is very present in our society today and there is a strong link between child abuse and PTSD. A strong literature review was carefully crafted that highlighted the importance of understanding PTSD and childhood trauma. Chapter two included a major in-depth look at the link between PTSD and childhood trauma and the lasting results. The literature review explained not only how PTSD is linked with childhood trauma, but it also included a really in depth look at PTSD and how it relates to some of the other known mental childhood disorders. The paper explained the major problem of how childhood PTSD is a very complex issue and there are a lot of trends and results that can lead into adulthood. In this research paper you will find that there was a lot of work that was put together and gathered from credible sources covering the three major pieces of information. A deeper look was carried out on PTSD, childhood trauma PTSD, and finally the results of what happens from trauma in the childhood years with a PTSD viewpoint.
