Abstract
This is the 34th interview in a series of 37 interviews with General John W. Vessey. In this interview, Gen. John Vessey discusses the period of 1982 to 1985 in which he served as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Specifically, Gen. Vessey discusses his retirement from military service in September 1985 and reflects on his time as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
