Abstract
This is the 31st interview in a series of 37 interviews with General John W. Vessey. In this interview, Gen. John Vessey discusses the period of 1982 to 1985 in which he served as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Specifically, Gen. Vessey discusses the United States, Lebanon and Israel during the 1980s. He also discusses the United States and Central America during the 1980s.
