Abstract
This philosophical portfolio collection, entitled My Beloved Child, is a developmentally appropriate guide for adults as they nurture and foster the growth of young children. The text, based on research and reflection, studies the following messages for children: you are loved, you are safe, you are unique, you are part of a community, and you are capable. Implications for practice are included in each section.
