Abstract
This project presents a curriculum for those who train early childhood professionals to use with infant teachers and the parents of the babies they care for. The focus of this curriculum is specifically on infant communication and the development of relationships between adults and infants. Very little curriculum was available for professionals that was specific to infants. No curriculum was found with the focus on communication or option for parents and teachers to attend together. The intention of this model is to encourage parents and infant teachers to begin to better understand each other's perspective and develop partnerships. The curriculum includes information on crying, touch, routines and responsive care, attachment, baby sign language, reading, and beginning to speak.
