Abstract
Many teachers in Head Start and other early childhood programs enter the field with little or no formal education. Staff in-service training can positively affect overall program quality in Head Start and other early childhood classrooms. Barriers to attending offered training exist, especially in the full day/full year model of Head Start. Alternative methods of training delivery can help to break those barriers. This project was developed to provide an alternate method of in-service training delivery to the staff in the full day/full year model of Head Start with Puget Sound Educational Service District. This distance-learning method will help to meet the ongoing professional development needs of this program, as well as provide possible options for alternate methods of new employee training delivery.
