Abstract
This project consists of research on fatherhood in America as it has evolved during the twentieth and ear1y twenty-first centuries. Topics include historical background, father play and resources available for support and education of fathers. The culmination of the research is an education module designed for fathers of preschool age through eight-year-old children. The goal of this fathering education is to educate fathers and to allow for open discussion of the issues of the crucial role fathers play in the lives of their children, father role models, physical play and available resources.
