Abstract

An Anthology of Spilled Milk is a memoir that explores themes of verbal abuse, confusion, coping and regret. The collection of short stories follows the plot of the author’s experiences and struggles dealing with patriarchal power and suppression. Confusing love with hate, honesty with lies, and corruption with safety, the author lacks the stability and support to cope. The writing process allowed the author to recognize the past and look forward to the future, as well as explore literature that helped to improve her writing.
