Abstract
This is a piece of creative non-fiction. It is comprised of a series of vignettes selected from a the larger body of work. These short vignettes will comprise the chapters of the thesis. The complete piece will eventually become a novel that I will seek to publish, totaling between 150 and 200 pages. This thesis, as a subset of this larger work, will attempt to give the reader a feel for what I am attempting to do with regard to the larger text, as well as standing as a story in its own right. The names of the main characters have been changed to protect their identities. Pseudonyms, similar to the names of famous people with whom they share some characteristics, have been used instead. The narrative focuses on the actions and influence of the character of Christian Burroughs. The story itself is told from the first person perspective.
