Abstract

As humans, we are often assessed by our outward appearance and our perceived physical attractiveness. An individual’s education level is one factor that contributes to the assessment. This study aims to locate and define whether or not education has an impact on an individual’s dress choice, personal appearance, and perceived physical attractiveness. Using a sample of 20 participants, aged 19 to 30, selected from private and public universities, community college, and peer groups of researcher, I interviewed participants to better understand the influence of education on dress choice. A series of One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) tests and Two Tail T-Tests indicated that education may influence an individual’s understanding of dress choice, personal appearance, and perceived physical attractiveness.
