Description

This is an aerial view of Concordia University, Saint Paul campus as it appeared in the late 1950's/1960's. You can see Dunning Field. 1230 St. Anthony Avenue, my childhood home, is visible between the old Walther Hall and Minnesota Hall, which stood toward the east end of the campus along St. Anthony Avenue. The second house I lived in (from about fifth grade on up) was on Carroll Avenue. This house is also visible on this photo. There are three frame houses visible along Carroll Avenue between the old President's house (the brick house now torn down) and Walther Hall (along N. Griggs Avenue on the east end of campus). We lived in the frame house next to the brick President's house.
