Abstract
This is the 11th interview in a series of 37 interviews with General John W. Vessey. In this interview, Gen. John Vessey discusses the period of 1945 to 1965 in which he is building an Army career in stateside duty stations and Germany. In this interview, Gen. John Vessey continues to discuss the Artillery and Guided Missile School at Fort Sill in Oklahoma from 1954-1956. He discusses the CINCPAC Coordination Center in the Philippines from 1958 and the Taiwan Straits Crisis of 1958. He also discusses his time in the Artillery Section, Eighth Army in Korea from 1958-1959.
