Abstract
Al France worked for the Lake Superior Industrial Bureau representing the mining and taconite firms in Minnesota during the 1970s. He served in the Minnesota State Legislature from 1963-1970 and was Assistant Secretary of Commerce in Washington, D.C. for a brief term. Mr. France was Chair of the Duluth Bicentennial Committee. This interview discusses planning, celebrations, and projects that were a part of Duluth, Minnesota becoming a Bicentennial Community.
