Abstract
This paper begins by reviewing the literature on the generalities of downsizing. This author will give a personal reflection of how I dealt with my downsizing experience. I will briefly describe the effects of corporate downsizing on the individual. After completing an extensive literature review, I will conclude the paper with a basic job hunting survival guide for the downsized victim. For many of the downsized victims, it has been years since they have been in the job hunting market. This survival guide can be given to the victim, who has just been presented with their severance package. The guide will be very beneficial for the victim. I wish that someone had given me such a guide. It would have helped me through the transition and finding the "dream" job that I have always wanted.
