Abstract
The nature of this empty nest research project will focus on developing and maintaining positive relationships for couples experiencing empty nest for the first time by enriching their communication skills. This researcher will develop a workshop tool that will enable couples to improve their communication skills and thus build stronger dyadic relationships that will support them as they navigate the empty nest and later stages of their lives.
