Abstract
“Helping Your Child Love to Read: A Father's Guide” will examine research that indicates the significance of a father's influence on the life and development of his child. It will also consider research that relates to the importance of literacy development in a child. A handbook of guidelines will then be provided to help fathers (and mothers or other adults) encourage and enhance the literacy development of the child.
