Abstract
The purpose of this project is to provide a guide that Head Start programs can utilize to forge lasting collaborative community partnerships that will lead to effective partnerships that serve the community as well as reap benefits for Head Start Programs. The project will allow Head Start programs to understand why partnerships are necessary and worthy of pursuing, as well as give guidance for preparation for partnering, involvement with partners, support to partners, and maintenance. The guide gives practical information, a look at both possible barriers to creating lasting effective partnerships and strategies for ensuring lasting effective partnerships.
