Abstract
Due to shortages of bachelor degreed early childhood educators, elementary teachers and adults with different educational experiences are hired. Training to learn how to set-up and arrange an early childhood classroom environment that enable children to become self-directed in their learning is essential for these newly hired preschool teachers. Preschool teachers must acquire a range of skills, knowledge and strategies to developmentally appropriate classroom learning centers. Classroom learning centers will empower teachers to allow children to make their own choices of activities to pursue and get involved in their own learning.
