Abstract
This paper contains descriptions and uses of therapeutic preschools. The purpose of this paper was to find out the risk factors and history of a therapeutic preschool for preschool children with challenging behaviors. A review of literature was also done on curriculum components of a therapeutic preschool. Little research has been conducted regarding the effects of therapeutic preschools. The paper concluded with art therapy, music therapy, play therapy, and the nurtured heart approach has the capability to benefit young children in a therapeutic preschool.
