Abstract
The purpose of this capstone project is to look at the need for faith-based childcare centers to have a formal staff development plan in place that addresses the issue of a career lattice in early childhood as a profession. A model for staff development will be offered in order to promote increasing professionalism within the field of early educators and providers employed by faith-based centers. A successful staff development plan will raise the quality of care and learning for the children enrolled in this type of childcare setting.
