Abstract

This document describes the role early childhood education coordinators play in providing and ensuring that training opportunities are available for early childhood teachers and program staff. It highlights the importance of providing early childhood teachers with knowledge and training in current theories, best practices, and the relationship between fully trained and educated teachers and quality programming. The purpose of the documentation is to provide the early childhood field and other key people with supportive information on the importance of establishing and supporting education coordinator positions in early childhood programs.
