Abstract
This document describes what role early childhood center directors play in providing quality work environments for teachers and quality care and education for children and their families. It defines the competencies required to be an effective center director and by what means directors receive the training and education to become competent administrators of early childhood programs. The purpose of the report is to provide the documentation to create a competency based training system for Childrenfirst Directors in Minnesota.
