Abstract

Due to societal changes, youth today are lacking the resources provided in the past to promote positive social development. The authors demonstrate that school-age care is ideally situated to build these skills in youth. In order for programs to assess how well they are building these skills, a social skills assessment instrument for school-age care programs is offered.
