Abstract
My professional industry experience occurred at the Bloomington Clinic. The skills I improved during the term were developing a clinical care plan, consistently performing an efficient patient intake, and developing confidence in patient interactions. The research project focused on the important effect exercise and chiropractic care can have on patients with common and uncommon health conditions. The intended outcomes were to increase my ability to analyze and synthesize theoretical and research concepts from multiple perspectives in Exercise Science to inform inquiry and practice, to enhance my ability to integrate scientific research to identify and analyze trends related to the fields of Exercise Science to formulate creative responses to complex issues, and to develop my ability to model ethical decision-making and respect for differences among people represented in the various aspects of the clinical setting and in our diverse society.
