Abstract
This study was designed to study the significance of how athletes can benefit from video analysis with a coach. The project involved a proposal to investigate how video technology impacts athletes and coaches' performances. Coaches and athletes would have several video sessions to break down the strengths and weaknesses of each athlete. Breaking down the skills through video analysis with a professional coach may help athletes gather a focus for improvement during each practice session. The proposed study focused on high school athletes instead of college or younger athletes. This was to help give high school coaches a better understanding how wrestling can utilize video analysis to help develop their athletes’ skill and hopefully get more victories from their athletes. Showing their high school athletes what they can work on by using video technology may help athletes see what they are doing wrong and understand how they can eliminate their mistakes to improve their match performances. At the end of the study the coaches and athletes will take a survey to see how they felt the video sessions impacted their performance and how the video review sessions could be improved.
