Abstract
The focus of this paper is on obesity in the world today. The systematic literature review will examine the benefits and comparison between aerobic and anaerobic exercise in weight loss for adolescence. There has been research done and prior information collected on the combination of changing diet and exercise. Still, this proposal is to look at whether one type of exercise when starting at a younger age, can help a person stay at a healthier weight and avoid obesity altogether or limit the growing epidemic. The study will compare the two different categories of exercise when prescribed to several groups of people. The study will compare the results of the individual based only on the different exercise categories, aerobic and anaerobic when the diet is the same in both groups. The purpose of completing this study is to determine what type of exercise is the most beneficial for decreasing the prevalence of obesity in the adolescent population. As many people develop behaviors and habits in their younger years that they continue on throughout their life it is imperative to educate the younger generation to put a stop to this issue.
