Abstract
This research on transformational athletic coaching and its implications for educational environments contributes to knowledge by using a case study design and purposeful sampling to analyze the impact of transformational coaching as a leadership style for educational environments. The researcher examined this unique transformational leadership style by studying transformational athletic coaches in diversely populated secondary school environments. The study participants were athletic coaches renowned for promoting transformational change in their educational environments. Transformational coaching is a leadership style that can help educational communities flourish socially, emotionally, spiritually, physically, and cognitively. Appropriate research-based observations and best practice techniques were used to illustrate the challenges and/or obstacles transformational athletic coaches may encounter in transforming educational organizations inside and outside the field of athletics. Additionally, this research study was designed to heighten awareness of how the transformational coaching leadership style can enhance educational environments by utilizing positive motivation, mentorship, and mutual collaborations, for the betterment of the educational community.
