Pre-K through eighth-grade students at Faubion School in Northeast Portland celebrated Read Across America Day at an all-school assembly Friday in correlation with neighboring Concordia University.
The students read “Oh the Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Seuss using new donated iPads. Faubion School received 120 iPads from the education technology company HotChalk Inc., which had representatives at the event. Pre-K through second-grade students paired with third- through eighth-graders at the public reading in the school’s cafeteria.
