Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the name, image, and likeness legislation that has been implemented into collegiate athletics. In addition, the impact on various gender and athletic levels of student-athletes will be analyzed regarding varying opportunities and compensation levels. The findings were conducted through a survey that was passed from athlete to athlete that allowed them to take the survey if they wished to participate. This study benefits student-athletes, institutions and the NCAA as the name, image, and likeness continues to be in effect.
